Condition Cells

Use the condition cell picker to filter, multi-select, confirm values with Enter, and understand OR matching behavior.

When editing cells in condition columns, a specialized menu appears to help you select valid values:

Menu Appearance:

  • Single-click a condition cell to select it (menu does NOT appear)

  • Double-click to focus the cell (menu appears with all valid options for that condition type)

Filtering:

  • As you type, the menu automatically filters to show only matching options

  • For example, typing "fra" in a Language column shows "French", "Frisian", etc.

  • The menu updates in real-time as you continue typing

Selecting from Menu:

  • Click an option from the menu to select it

  • You can continue typing to filter for additional options

  • Click another option to add it to the cell (multiple values appear comma-separated)

  • Selected items appear at the top of the menu when you refocus the cell

Confirming Without Menu Selection:

  • If you type text but don't click a menu item, pressing Enter automatically selects the closest matching option

  • For example, typing "eng" and pressing Enter will select "English"

Reset “X” Button:

  • If a condition cell has at least one validated value, focusing the cell reveals a reset “X”

  • Click the reset button to clear all selections at once

Clearing Behavior:

  • When you focus a condition cell that already has content, the existing content is cleared so you can start fresh with new filtering

Condition Cells work on a OR basis. If you have multiple values within the same cell, the user must match ONE of those values for the condition to be TRUE, not all of them. (e.g I have New York, London, Los Angeles in the Same Location::City column cell. The user must be at ONE of those locations for the condition to be true.
